With the upcoming LG G3 May 27 launch getting closer, another leak surfaced, showing the LG G2 sequel in gold, black and white. While being a regular news item even before its confirmed release date, LG G3 leaks have been flooding the rumor land, giving clearer pictures of what the new LG flagship smartphone will be like.

The color variant of the latest LG G3 leak is courtesy of prolific pre-launch information leakster @evleaks, which tweeted pictures of the next smartphone of the Korean manufacturer, nine days before the scheduled launch. The pictures show a very slim device with an aluminum bottom, sides and back; plus an oval rear sensor, which, according to evleaks, will make auto-focus much quicker.

The design and edge-to-edge screen confirm previous rumors that LG G3 will come in a slim build and a sprawling display screen. This handset will supersede the much acclaimed and awarded LG G2 with a 5.5 inch 538ppi 2560 x 1440 resolution display, and the first device to sport a qHD screen.

G3 is said to boast the in-house Odin processor chip, in Octo-core and quad-core variants; or Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 in Adreno 330 GPU. This Android handset is said to run the recent Android out-of-the-box 4.4 KitKat OS. It is also rumored to come with a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 2.4MP front-facing one.

LG G3's May 27 launch will be in three cities – New York, San Francisco and London. The following day, it will launch in Istanbul, Singapore and Seoul.

With its impressive specs, LG G3 will be a big contender of Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and iPhone 5s.
