There have been rumblings coming in from South Korea that states the LG G4 Note or G4 Pro will debut in the next few months. The reports also stated that LG's newest flagship device will carry some specs and characteristics reminiscent of the LG G4.

There's admittedly some confusion to the name as it has long been a foregone conclusion that LG's next offering will be the premium LG G4 Pro. However, the company has apparently also applied for the name LG G4 Note to be trademarked, leaving people to assume that the next device will be called either the G4 Pro or the G4 Note.

Regardless of what LG will be calling its next device, what is sure is that the company is gearing up for the launch of its latest high-end smartphone. The news was further confirmed last week when LG's Juno Cho announced that the G4 Note/Pro will be introduced sometime in the last quarter of 2015.

Since then, more details have emerged from the Land of the Morning Calm. According to reports, the G4 Note/Pro will make its official debut on Oct. 10 at a special press conference. Analysts have pointed out that the timing is auspicious as the fourth quarter begins in October. Plus, this would mean the tablet won't be competing against the frenzied shopping that December is notorious for.

The LG G4 Note/Pro reportedly has the usual features found in the standard LG G4, including the plastic body, a removable battery and a display resolution of 1440 x 2560. But the G4 Note/Pro will allegedly have a dual-camera setup with improved depth perception characteristics.

However, it's unclear what chipset the LG G4 Note/Pro will be carrying. The company originally used the Snapdragon 808 hexacore in the original G4. But consumers are expecting that the G4 Note/Pro to come with something even better, and there have been rumors that the chipset will indeed carry some big improvements. Some analysts say it's too early to expect the Snapdragon 820 to be out in time to power the LG G4 Note/Pro, so it's possible that the oft-maligned Snapdragon 810 will be powering the upcoming device.
