LG Ray X190 release date, price, specs: LG unveils mid-range smartphone with 5.5-inch HD display in Russia

LG has unveiled a new smartphone dubbed as the Ray X190. The LG Ray X190 is a mid-range device that will be released in Russia.

It features a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display with a 1280 x 270 pixel screen resolution and 267 ppi pixel density. The smartphone comes with a brushed metal finish. In terms of dimensions, it is 152.5 mm tall, 76.4 mm wide, 9.33 mm thick and weighs 156 grams. 

The newly released device also bears the same design layout as the newer LG devices – with volume rockers and the power button located at the back.

The LG Ray X190 is powered by an octa-core 1.4 GHz MediaTek MT6592M processor, a Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB of RAM. There is also 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a microSD card. 

The smartphone is equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus. The 8 MP front-facing camera can conveniently take selfies just by displaying different hand gestures. It is capable of capturing Full HD (1080p) videos with a frame rate of up for 30 frames per second. 

The LG Ray is backed by a 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery that provides up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 480 hours onstandby. 

The device comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. It also comes with some of LG's impressive features including the Knock Code, which allows users to unlock their devices by just tapping the screen.

The LG Ray comes with dual-SIM capability. It has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. Other features in the smartphone include an accelerometer and a proximity sensor. The device will be available in the color Silver. 

The LG Ray is scheduled to be released for the Russian market later this month. It is priced at 14,990 rubles which converts to about $232. LG has yet to announce international availability of the LG Ray X190.
