The month of June is always a busy month not only for the video game industry but also for gadget giants, such as Apple that will be having its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 13–16. As the dates draw closer, fans are speculating that the MacBook Air 2016 will be revealed along with the MacBook Pro 2016.

According to Taiwanese post Economic Daily News, as translated by Australian Network news, Apple will be producing the MacBook Air series for this year but it will come with changes. One of the changes is the discontinuation of the 11-inch variant that will be designed to be thinner and lighter. Furthermore, the MacBook Air is rumored to have a longer battery life, and the same is predicted for the MacBook Pro. Moreover, the laptops will reportedly arrive with Touch ID and Force Touch features.

As for the price of the MacBook Air 2016, nothing has been revealed or leaked yet, but some speculate that it will be priced higher than its predecessor, and as what usually happens, the company might reduce the price of the 2015 model in order to attract more customers. It is known that Apple always sells its products at a premium price, especially when it comes to its latest gadgets.

On why Apple still produces the MacBook Air when it already has the MacBook Pro, Apple hasn't released any statement regarding this, but fans may consider this as the last version of the product, as reports reveal that the Cupertino tech giant will be producing future gadgets based on the MacBook Pro.

Apple enthusiasts shouldl not miss this upcoming event that could be considered a milestone revelation, especially since the company hasn't been performing well with its iPhone 6s.

More Apple and MacBook Air 2016 news updates should arrive soon.
