Apple has always been consistent with their annual release for their devices, specifically the MacBook laptop. It appears like this year, the Cupertino-based manufacturer will finally do an upgrade for their MacBook Pro 2016 laptop, and rumor has it that they might even equip the computer with the latest Skylake processor from Intel.

The Skylake, which is commonly referred to as the 6th gen chipset, is the latest and most advanced CPU from Intel. With that in mind, the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is certainly more powerful compared to the 5th gen processor of its predecessor, also known as Broadwell, if the rumor turns out to be accurate, that is.

Furthermore, because of the Skylake processor, in theory, the battery life of this laptop is expected to last much longer compared to the past iterations. According to Gotta Be Mobile, the 6th gen CPU doesn't require much power consumption unlike the rest.

Sadly, other details regarding its specifications were not dropped. However, since the CPU is rumored to have an upgrade, it seems like the graphics of it would also receive a revamp to probably the latest GPU from Intel, AMD, or even Nvidia.

Meanwhile, as for the release date, industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had predicted that the MacBook Pro 2016 could very well be unveiled sometime in the first half of 2016. Unfortunately, though, Kuo did not drop any specific month for the timeframe but given what he said, it should probably come out between the months of March and June 2016.

However, since this is just a prediction, fans are advised to take the news with a pinch of salt, and consider it as a mere speculation until Apple officially announces the specific details for the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016.
