Previous reports have mentioned that the Cupertino-based company will hold an event in June, which is when the MacBook Pro 2016 is believed to be unveiled. However, with new reports mentioning about Apple's media event this March, speculations suggest that the Pro 2016 will be unveiled by then, alongside a new iPad and new Apple Watch bands. If not, an announcement about any updates on the Pro 2016 is expected.

As for the specs of the Macbook Pro 2016, Yibada noted that the laptop will come with an Intel CPU with a sixth generation Skylake Processor. This Skylake chipset will give the laptop an all-improved overall performance and enhanced graphics. Furthermore, the battery life of the device will also be augmented, making it a standout choice among other laptops.

Several reports have also agreed that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have an OLED screen, capable of 4K graphics. With that said, it's also expected that the new laptop will have a hefty price tag.

The MacBook Pro 2016 is also rumored to weight two pounds and will have a thickness of 13.1 millimeters. This lightweight feature of the MacBook Pro 2016 is considered as one of its selling points, apart from the switch from Retina to OLED display.

The MacBook Pro's thinness and lightweight feature may soon rival that of the MacBook Air, according to Breathecast.

Rumors also had it that the device will come with various color options including gold, space gray, and silver. Other unconfirmed reports mentioned that the laptop will have a Thunderbolt port and a USB Type-C connection, and that it will be pre-loaded with an OS X El Captain.
