The existence of a MacBook Pro 2016 has yet to be confirmed by Apple but reports suggest that a new laptop should be available soon.

Apple is reportedly pulling out older versions of the MacBook Pro from the shelves, which may serve as a hint that a newer model is coming. AppleInsider received this tip and also confirmed it by visiting some outlets of the Apple store in the United States.

Last week, non-Retina MacBook units have reportedly been pulled out from an Austin store. It is now widely speculated that a MacBook Pro 2016 launch is imminent. If Apple will go in this direction, it is expected that this new laptop will also come preloaded with the new version of OS X, which was revealed at the recently concluded Worldwide Developers Conference.

With that said, the new MacBook might also come redesigned with an OLED touch panel that has recently been rumored as part of the new operating system. It might also come with a TouchID fingerprint sensor.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Apple won't be introducing a new Pro laptop soon because the Cupertino-based company is said to be waiting for the release of the new Intel Kaby Lake processor to put in the new MacBook. However, according to Christian Times, Apple won't need to wait for Kaby Lake; instead, it will still continue to use the current Skylake processor.

The MacBook Pro 2016 might also be offered in two different variants – one is a 13-inch laptop and the other will be 15 inches. A target release date should be before this year's holiday season, which should make the device a perfect gift.

With a new OS and predicted more superior specs, fans will surely be excited about a new MacBook Pro. But as always, the device still belongs to the rumor category, which means that reports about it should be taken with a grain of salt.
