MacBook Pro 2016 update: Device to arrive on October 27; USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 port replace USB-A connector

After months of speculations, it is finally confirmed that Apple is, indeed, hosting an event later this month to unveil its latest line of Mac products, including the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016. According to reports, the device will no longer come with USB-A connector as Apple has replaced it with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 port. 

According to reports, it is already certain that Apple fans can expect a pleasant reveal on the brand's latest line of Mac products on Oct. 27, including the MacBook Pro 2016. Based on reports, some of the devices that fans can expect from the event are the MacBook Pro 2016 and the 13-inch version of the MacBook Air.

It is already expected that the MacBook Pro 2016 will be thinner than its current version. Nonetheless, the device is said to come with certain improvements that will set it apart from other laptops. Among the many rumored changes, one of the most persistently rumored is that the laptop has gotten rid of the USB-A connector and will come with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 port instead.

Apart from being devoid of the USB-A connector, it is also said that the MacBook Pro 2016 will come with a new function row, which is alleged to be a narrow OLED touchscreen that is meant to take over the function key row. Reportedly, this feature will display several buttons depending on what app is currently being used.

Meanwhile, it is also said that the upcoming Apple event on Oct. 27 will also unveil the newest 13-inch models of the MacBook Air, which are suspected to replace the current 11-inch models.

In the event that the MacBook Pro 2016 will really be unveiled next week, gadget fans may expect a showdown between Apple and Microsoft as the latter is also slated to host an event on Oct. 26, where it is suspected to unveil its Surface all-in-one PC, which is meant to rival Apple's iMac, and its Surface Book 2, which is the MacBook Pro's closest rival.
