As with previous years, a lot of rumors about the devices and software that could arrive during Apple's upcoming WWDC 2016 event have been hitting the Internet. Many of these have been conflicting and have been focused on devices like the MacBook Pro. The latest among these speculations have pointed toward the MacBook Pro possibly arriving this month with a new design.

This year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is scheduled to take place between June 13-17 in San Francisco, California, and rumors have previously hinted that no new hardware was scheduled to arrive. However, just a few days before the conference starts, another set of rumors have pointed toward a MacBook Pro being possibly revealed during this event.

The latest rumor arrived via a website which spoke of Apple already being in possession of metal injection mold-made (MiM) hinges that will supposedly be used on an upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro. More importantly, these hinges are likely to make the said device very thin and help in the redesign of it.

Also, with Apple already having the hinges for the 13-inch model of the MacBook Pro, it is thought that the device could be unveiled during WWDC 2016. The rumor also hinted that Apple could be releasing the laptop in the third quarter of the year, and since the third quarter is scheduled to start this July, it is likely that the device will be showcased in a few days, or possibly during WWDC 2016, and then make it to the market in the following months. The new hinges on the MacBook Pro are also thought to be rolling off the manufacturing chain in an efficient manner and it is expected that they will also be used on the 15-inch model of the MacBook Pro. However, the 15-inch model is only expected to arrive later in the year.

Previous rumors about the MacBook Pro have pointed towards the laptop being redesigned substantially and coming with an OLED panel that would replace the function keys. This particular feature was also hinted at in a leaked chassis, which also gave rise to rumors that Touch ID will also be included in the trackpad.
