'Mafia 3' news and update: third game connected to 'Mafia 2', Hangar 13 confirms

Many fans of the "Mafia" series were probably in such glee when they heard the confirmation for "Mafia 3," the next installment in the game franchise, late in July, as said on an Ecumenical News report. Then, the following month, publisher 2K released the trailer for the game. However, it didn't answer the question if there will be a connection between the second and third games in the series.
According to creative director Haden Blackman during his interview with Game Informer, "Mafia 3" will not ignore "Mafia 2." It will be connected to the previous title and it will help tie loose ends.
"At the end of the day, you're going to feel like this is a true Mafia experience and a true Mafia story," Blackman said, as quoted by GameSpot. "People are worried that we are just ignoring Mafia II, and that couldn't be farther from the truth. From a narrative standpoint, we are absolutely committed to making sure a lot of your questions about Mafia II are answered in Mafia III."
The story of "Mafia 3" revolves around Lincoln Clay, an orphan who becomes a soldier in the Vietnam War. After the war, he goes back to Louisiana where the story takes place, and finds a job in the black mob in the area, according to GameSpot.
"Mafia 3" is expected to be released sometime next year, possibly after April 2016. The third addition to the series will be made available for next-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and will also have a PC version. Unfortunately, there is no specific launch date yet so it's best to keep an eye out for more updates.
