'Mass Effect Andromeda' rumors: New gameplay footage may have been leaked
An apparent leak may have just given fans their first look at "Mass Effect Andromeda's" gameplay.
Specifically, the apparent leak is giving fans a sneak preview of the new movement mechanics that may be featured in the upcoming game.
NeoGAF user "Taker 34" shared more details about the new gameplay footage, though it appears as though the thread has since been taken down.
Gamespot managed to share one of the GIFs included in the now non-existent thread and it gives fans a look at the protagonist on the move while using what appears to be a jetpack.
Unfortunately, it's unclear whether or not the brief snippet of gameplay featured in the GIF is actually indicative of what fans can expect when the game finally comes out.
Prior to the apparent gameplay footage being leaked, "Mass Effect Andromeda" also made headlines thanks in part to some survey screenshots.
The screenshots shared by NeoGAF user "anexanhume" hinted that the plot of the upcoming game may call on players to fight against the native inhabitants of a certain planet as they attempt to find a new home.
Players may also be tasked with making their way through a "planet-dense but seamless open-world galaxy" in search of their new home. The new game may also feature an even more comprehensive customization system that players will have to understand as well.
With more specific details about the sci-fi title yet to be officially announced, there's still a lot that can change between now and when the game is finally ready to be released.
Fans will just have to stay tuned to the development of the game to see if any official details will actually be revealed soon.
"Mass Effect Andromeda" is not expected to be made available until the early part of 2017, though more details about the game may be released later this year.
