Miami Heat trade rumors 2016: Will Greg Monroe replace Chris Bosh?

Chris Bosh remains to be a massive uncertainty for the Miami Heat this off-season. He appears healthy following his posts on social media and it seems the franchise is not planning to trade him. But if it does, he could end up with the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Greg Monroe.

(Reuters/Benny Sieu/USA TODAY Sports)The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly keeping center Greg Monroe (right) on the trade market.

Recently, Bosh is showing that he is at a hundred percent and can return to action for the 2016-17 National Basketball Association (NBA) season. He is not yet cleared but the Heat are hoping for the best when it comes to the All-Star big man.

However if the Heat change their minds regarding Bosh and they opt to deal him away, Monroe would be a great option.

Monroe has been on the market for weeks now but the Bucks are yet to find takers for him.

It is a little surprising for the Bucks to shop Monroe because he was putting up great numbers for them. But it is rumored that despite his production, he is struggling to fit into the squad's system and that is why he is on the trade block.

Monroe would be an excellent addition for Miami if they pursue him. There can be a number of roles given to him by coach Erik Spoelstra and his staff.

The Heat can use Monroe as the backup of budding center Hassan Whiteside. If the 26-year-old cannot concede the starting job, they could make him a starter. This will lead to a deadly front line for the team.

Monroe and Whiteside playing alongside each other gives Miami a great defensive wall on the paint. On the offensive end, their tandem also presents various options when it comes to scoring in the shaded line.

For now, the Heat may still be waiting for Bosh before they make any decision regarding the roster.
