Michael Schumacher health condition latest news 2016: Racing icon's side resumes silence

Earlier this year, there were a string of updates regarding Michael Schumacher's current health condition. Sadly, his family and representatives, especially Sabine Kehm, are again keeping quiet about the former Ferrari driver.

It was in December of 2013 when Schumacher sustained major head injuries during a skiing accident at the French Alps. Since then, updates became limited and this led to numerous false reports.

The most significant news perhaps in this entire situation is when Schumacher was transferred to his home.

However, this 2016, some of the closest people to Schumacher were more active in sharing news. Kehm, his manager, and former Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo spoke about him but the information given lacked details.

Kehm always sounded positive each time she was asked about Schumacher in a few public appearances. What she discussed often is the family's desire to keep everything private.

Di Montezemolo, on the other hand, may have left a hint in his comments last May but failed to be specific.

In a report by CNN, Di Montezemolo was quoted saying, "I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting."

Maybe the biggest news for this year was from Schumacher's attorney Felix Damm who revealed last September that his client remains paralyzed. This was to contest fallacious reports by German magazine Bunte which reported that the 47-year-old can already walk.

This was not the first time Schumacher's side decided to pursue legal action against these fabricators. Last year, his wife Corinna also had a legal battle against a number of publications who made up stories about the seven-time Formula One champ's recovery.

As of the moment, there is again silence when it comes to news about Schumacher. This may last for months similar with what happened multiple times before. Hopefully, concrete updates will be divulged to the public soon.
