Since Michael Schumacher's skiing accident back in December 2013, the legendary Formula One driver's recovery from the head injuries he suffered has not been very significant and there has been little progress. Despite the news blackout imposed by the Schumacher family on the care that he's receiving, an insider from Express has revealed that Michael's progress has been painfully slow. He remains mute and is still unable to walk. "There is no miracle on the horizon."

It has also been reported that Schumacher's care costs has hit £10 million since the accident. He is being cared for by a team of 15 medical experts in a special clinic set up on the grounds of his Swiss home. The team is advised by Professor Jean-Francois Payen who operated on the blood clots in Schumacher's brain after the accident and remains in constant contact with the Schumacher family and medical team wherever he is in the world.

With the rising costs for Schumacher's care, rumors have been circulating that the racer's family is now struggling with their finances. A recent report from Crossmap stated that Schumi's wife, Corrina Schumacher, had sold off their private jet and holiday home in Norway, and is also looking to sell their chalet in Meribel at the French Alps. The reason though, is not because they're running out of money, but since she believes that her husband wouldn't need them anymore, based on his condition.

Corrina Schumacher has received the admiration of the Formula One world for being strong and managing everything on her own. Professor Payen also expressed his admiration for Corrina saying "She has displayed in every way an exceptional willpower. She knew the seriousness of the situation and the long road that lay before them. She looks at things very clearly and makes every effort, and gives everything, which can help to improve the condition of her husband."

Michael Schumacher is a retired Formula One race car driver and is a seven-time Formula One World Champion. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time.
