Michael Schumacher news: Legendary racer's current condition remains unknown; milestone of his 1991 Formula One debut remembered

Michael Schumacher's current condition remains a mystery to all but those truly close to the legendary racer.
Schumacher suffered his tragic skiing accident back in December of 2013, and since then, many fans and even some of the people close to him have not heard much about what has been going on with his recovery.
Earlier this year, FIA president Jean Todt touched on Schumacher's condition briefly during an appearance at the Sid Watkins Lecture, ESPN UK reported.
Todt did not provide specific details regarding the racing driver's condition back then. It was also mentioned in the report that he was able to meet with Pope Francis and asked him to offer a prayer for Schumacher.
Unfortunately, official updates regarding the condition of the world famous racing driver have been hard to come by since then, though fans are undoubtedly hoping for the best and that better news will be coming in the future.
Schumacher's absence within the racing world is felt even more this month, particularly because August is a meaningful time in the racer's fabled career.
Schumacher made his Formula One debut back in August of 1991, roaring onto the scene after qualifying seventh for the Jordan team at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Even if Schumacher failed to finish the race back then, this did little to dim his burgeoning star power, as Sky Sports recounted.
That 1991 debut marked the beginning of great things for Schumacher and for the sport of Formula One racing as a whole, as he spent the better part of the next two decades dominating the sport, breaking and creating new records seemingly at will.
Schumacher retired from Formula One racing back in 2012, leaving behind a legacy that will be hard to equal for even the most talented racers.
More news about Michael Schumacher and his condition should be made available in the future.
