Microsoft HoloLens release date news: Device to be released on July 29?

The future may be arriving sooner than expected as the release date of Microsoft's HoloLens has been rumored to be on July 29.
Some technology insiders dub the Microsoft HoloLens as "[one] of the most ground-breaking tech to be introduced this year." And it may as well be true as it is the first of its kind to hit the tech world. The HoloLens is an augmented reality (AR) smart glasses that functions as a full Windows 10 computer, which means that there is no need to tether or connect it to any Microsoft device and that you can use it anytime and anywhere.
Rumors currently circulating suggest that it will debut alongside the latest Microsoft operating system, the Windows 10, since the AR device is considered the next PC. If the rumors prove to be accurate, then it means people will be able to get their hands on the future of computers as soon as July 29.
Microsoft, however, has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
The Microsoft HoloLens was introduced last year, around the same time that the Windows 10 was unveiled. It augments a user's current reality by embedding holograms into the environment. CrossMap aptly describes it as the closest thing everyone can get to having their own Jarvis, Iron Man Tony Stark's virtual assistant.
But because of its advanced technology, the Microsoft HoloLens carries with it a very steep price. Initially pegged at around $500, the device just might be a whole lot more expensive than that. According to a New York Times article, a Microsoft executive said the AR smart glasses will be "significantly more" than the current cost of their Xbox One, which sells for roughly more than $400.
Yet even without a definite price tag and release date, the HoloLens have already gotten fans, tech enthusiasts and developers excited. Microsoft demonstrated the new device by playing the sandbox independent video game, "Minecraft" at E3. This has spawned reports that Disney Interactive is now considering creating software for the HoloLens when it hits the market.
Stay tuned for more updates on the exact release date of Microsoft's HoloLens.
