New rumors about the release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 continue to do the rounds even after the company's recent release of a budget friendly version of its flagship Surface Pro device, called Surface 3 Tablet. The latest rumor suggests that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be launched in July this year and will be available in two sizes - a 12-inch and a 14-inch variant.

The Surface Pro is considered to be the ultimate laptop/hybrid tablet and had received the "best tablet" award at the Mobile World Congress earlier this month. There have been rumors that the next Surface Pro 4 would be a laptop-tablet hybrid and mark a huge leap from the current Surface Pro 3.

Fresh media reports indicate that Microsoft has fixed a release date of July 2015 for the Surface Pro 4 and will be announcing the launch date at a suitable event. However, there are also rumors that the Surface Pro 4 will run Windows 10 out of the box, in which case, the two-in-one machine will not hit the market until October, as Microsoft will officially launch its new operating system by around that time.

The Surface Pro 4 is expected to come in two models, a 12-inch and a 14-inch variant, both bearing the same 2K display, with the 12-inch version rumored to be powered by a Broadwell processor and the 14-inch variant speculated to be the high-grade hybrid with powerful Intel i5 and i7 processors.

Microsoft's upcoming hybrid device will come with 1 terabyte of storage and will be LTE-ready with Xbox game streaming support and a battery that could last up to 10 hours on video playback. The laplet is expected to come with a 3.5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing shooter, with both capable of taking 1080p videos. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is expected to sell in the $1,200 - $2,000 price range. Meanwhile, Microsoft continues to maintain silence about the details and release of the Surface Pro 4, but the company's decision to recently slash prices of the Surface Pro 3 indicates that it could soon release the next-generation laptop-tablet hybrid.
