Microsoft Surface Pro 4 hybrid to release before end of 2015

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was released more than a year ago and most tech enthusiasts agree that the release of the fourth version of the self-proclaimed pioneer "laplet" is long overdue.

With the Windows 10 finally arriving just four days ago, however, there is little doubt that the Surface Pro 4 is well on its way. While the rumors circulating, which hint on the upcoming device's release have not been substantiated, there are several explanations as to why it is believed the device would arrive no later than this year.

An article by Techtimes has recently been published and it indicated that available units of the Surface Pro 3 are already being sold at a steep discount. In their report last July 30, the news outlet has stated that the Surface Pro 3 128 GB Intel Core i5 now goes for only $779, more than $200 less than its original price.

Speculations claim that the price drop is due to retailers trying to dispose of old stocks in preparation for the arrival of the fourth generation device.

Apple reportedly dropping their new iPad device has also fuelled the rumors that Microsoft would follow suit and make their new flagship "laplet" available before their rival company makes their offering available.

According to a report by Parent Herald, the sales of the Surface Pro were not all that impressive, so the release of the fourth version before the iPad is not completely ungrounded especially since it is strategic for Microsoft.

Surface Pro 4 is expected to run on the pre-installed Windows 10. It reportedly would come in a 12" and 14" variant and is rumored to have either an Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7 processor. Furthermore, other reports claim that it will come with a state of the art 3D camera.

Microsoft has yet to announce the specifics surrounding the Surface Pro 4 but tech insiders claim that the device would be available by October 2015.
