Tech enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the launch of Microsoft's Surface Pro 5. And while rumors about the upcoming device are widespread, the company has yet to announce an official release date. However, it is widely believed that the Surface Pro 5 will drop no later than June 2017.

According to Technology News Extra, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date could be any date between March and June of next year. It's possible that the market may get it earlier than June. However, since it is believed that Microsoft is waiting for the Intel Kaby Lake processor, which is rumored to launch on April 30, 2017, there is some reason to believe that the date may not fall before the end of April.

It was previously reported that Microsoft is holding off on the release of the new Surface Pro 5 because of the new features that it wants to incorporate into the device. The new Intel Kaby Lake processor is one of them and the other is the Redstone 2, the Windows 10 OS update. The processor from Intel is said to be more powerful than the previous iteration, which is perhaps why Microsoft wants to put it in the Surface Pro 5.

As for the hybrid tablet's specifications, it has been said that a new stylus with recharging capabilities will come with the gadget. An NVIDIA or AMD graphics card is also rumored to be on board the device, as well as a USB Type-C port, which will allow for better and faster charging and file transferring.

It is also believed that a variant of the Surface Pro 5 will come with 16 GB of RAM, which will let people to multitask. This is, of course, the more expensive option in the bunch. It remains to be seen, though, whether Microsoft goes with 2K or 4K resolution for the display.

Since nothing has been officially confirmed, however, tech enthusiasts should take this news with a grain of salt for now.
