Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors 2016: Kings' Ben McLemore to fulfill need at shooting guard?

The injury of Khris Middleton gave the Milwaukee Bucks a headache with the new season opening in a few weeks. Because they lost their starting shooting guard, trading might be the answer to fill the void and one of the options is the Sacramento Kings' Ben McLemore.

In a report by Yibada.com, it was suggested that the Bucks could get McLemore by sending Michael Carter-Williams to the Kings.

This potential switch could end up as a win-win situation for both the Bucks and Kings.

The Bucks are adding a shooting guard in McLemore, who is young and already showed that he has great potential. He failed to have an impact with the Kings in the 2015-16 season but it is not too late for him to bounce back and a fresh start in Milwaukee can help him big time.

However, if McLemore becomes a Buck, he needs to impress head coach Jason Kidd and the entire organization. He will likely compete to land significant playing minutes and it is a grueling process since even without Middleton, the team remains stacked at backcourt.

Meanwhile, Carter-Williams will fulfill a need the Kings have tried to address since Rajon Rondo left in free agency. When the latter took place, they lost depth at point guard and only had Darren Collison at the position.

Last month, the Kings tried to solve the problem and signed Ty Lawson. He is a quality playmaker but failed to find his form last season.

If Sacramento adds Carter-Williams, they will have youth at no. 1 and depth is assured since they have three guys who can facilitate the offense.

The deal works and is a headliner if it happens. But for now, there is no news stating that the Kings and Bucks are negotiating for this exchange that will give their backcourts a different look.
