Minecraft 1.8 update: Mojang introduces second batch of patches via snapshot 14w29b and 14w29a

As Mojang enters the last phase of completion of the Minecraft 1.8 update, "snapshot 14w29b" was released.
According to the official announcement, the developers are taking a slightly different approach and players' feedbacks are deemed valuable at this point in time.
"We can never be sure if bending space around time is the right approach until we get feedback from you on the 14w29b snapshot that bends time around space instead. We do that by using the newly implemented threaded render batch system. That's a lot a fancy sounding words, so if you don't know what that means, it should improve performance even more. Or crash horribly. But without your feedback, we'll never know which one is true."
This snapshot update fixes two outstanding bugs: players losing CommandStats after death and players are taking up space on the sidebar display.
A lot of people get pulled into the pixelated building block game and Minecraft 1.8 is almost ready to hit the open world sandbox realm.
The new notes for snapshot 14w29a brings exciting updates such as underwater content and the addition of rabbits.
The rabbits spawned in the player's world are of two kinds – the harmless and cold-blooded killer.
Killing a rabbit would give you one of these three: a leaping potion from its feet, hides to make leather and meat to make stew.
Those who will try the snapshot are encouraged to report bugs via this link.
Mojang has just implemented the "snapshot 14w28b" last July 9th as reported by Ecumenical News.
Meanwhile, Mojang has also released a new Pocket Edition to Google Play 0.9.3.
The update is implemented to fix the following bugs from the one they introduced in 0.9.2.
- several crashes that prevented from playing in multiplayer
- that on death might hang the game and/or spawn you really up in the sky
- on Android, you can get more than 3 levels of view distance again
- the game now handles when a world is corrupted and not repairable showing an error screen
- Creepers don't spam weird sounds anymore
