Motorola Moto M release date, specs: New leaked photos hint phone to sport USB Type-C port; rumored to unveil on Nov. 8

Motorola's yet-to-be-released smartphone Moto M has been in the rumor mill since August. Recently, another batch of photo leaks that show the rumored specs of the upcoming smartphone is making rounds online.

There is a fresh batch of leaked photos that shows the upcoming Motorola Moto M phone. According to reports, the phone will sport a good set of specs under the hood. The newest model is expected to run on an Octa-Core Cortex A53 CPU matched with a Mali T860 GPU.

It will also boast a 4 GB of RAM matched with a 32 GB of internal storage. For those who would want to have a bigger storage capacity, they can opt to expand it through the microSD slot, which could carry as big as 128 GB of memory. As for the camera, the rear part will be getting a 13-megapixel lens and an 8-megapixel lens will be added in the front. Fresh from the box, the phone will operate on an Android 6.0 OS. The device will be powered by a 3050 mAh battery.

The photos also gave hints that the Motorola Moto M will sport a fingerprint scanner at the rear part of the phone, just below the camera. There is also a photo that shows a possible USB Type-C port addition, in between what could be a dual speaker. The phone's display is rumored to be coated with a P2i that prevents the phone from being damaged by light rain or splash. However, the phone is still not water resistant.

Apart from the leaked photos, there are reports that the Motorola M was spotted on AnTuTu's Weibo site, which reveals the smartphone's possible specs. The specs mentioned here are almost the same except that the rear camera could be equipped with a 16-megapixel lens. The specs also reveal that the display size of the phone is 5.5 inches with 1080 x1920 resolution.

Motorola is expected to unveil the upcoming Moto M on Nov. 8.
