'Naruto Shippuden' episode 466 will resume on June 30; fillers are making fans annoyed

(Shonen Jump)"Naruto Shippuden" episode 466 titled "The Tumultuous Journey" will air June 30.

"Naruto Shippuden's" 466th episode was supposed to be aired last week, but, due to unknown circumstances, the much-awaited episode will be aired on June 30 instead. However, the upcoming episode will sidetrack from the said battle and will feature the roots of the Uzumaki and the Uchiha Clans.

The delay was even mentioned in a local TV news in Japan and fans were surprised upon hearing it. There were also expectant fans who watch Naruto episodes via the video sharing website YouTube, but they, too, were surprised and at the same time upset that the said episode of "Naruto Shippuden" was never uploaded.

Moreover, episode 466 of "Naruto Shippuden" promises to be an intense one as it will feature brothers Ashura and Indra's coming of age and their father, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, will decide as to who will be his inheritor between his two sons.

Indra Otsutsuki is the elder son of Hagoromo. He also pioneered the ninjutsu, which is a technique widely used in the world of "Naruto." Indra is also the ancestor of the Uchiha Clan of which Naruto's friend, Sasuke, is a part of.

Meanwhile, Indra's younger brother, Asura or Ashura to some, is the forefather of the defunct Senju clan that still continues to affect the present-day politics of Konoha. Asura is also the ancestor of the Uzumaki Clan.

Dubbed as "The Tumultuous Journey," episode 466 is a backtrack episode in which "Naruto Shippuden" fans find it quite annoying as it prolongs their agony of waiting for the main story to continue. Furthermore, the agony will be even longer with episode 467 titled "Ashura's Determination" as it will continue the events that are about to unfold in episode 466.

As aforementioned, episode 466 will air on June 30, while episode 467 will be on July 7.
