'No Man's Sky' news and release date: Sean Murray says getting lost is inevitable; launch date still not announced

(No Man's Sky Official Website)No Man's Sky features 18 quintillion planets and each planet has it's own landscapes and inhabitants.

"No Man's Sky" is no doubt one of the most highly anticipated games to be released possibly by 2016. The plausible explanation for the hype is that the IP not only offers open-world features but will also have an open universe aspect, the first of its kind. With that said, it wouldn't be surprising to see people get lost in one of the planets of the game, just like what Sean Murray of Hello Games has explained recently.

During Murray's interview with GamesRadar, the managing director of Hello Games stated that people will definitely get lost when playing the game most especially when visiting a newly found planet. "I have this [design] argument with the guys all the time, but if I hand someone the controller, the first thing they'll do is lose their ship," Murray said.

The reason behind it is that, on the planets of "No Man's Sky," players won't find any kind of pathways unlike in several other popular open-world titles available today, Murray explained.

"Even in games like 'Far Cry 4,' 'Dragon Age' or 'The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion,' which are huge worlds, there are pathways. They want me to go this way to get some plant at the top of a mountain, but I prefer to go this way, and I'll just buggily hop up. We don't have those predefined pathways."

That may sound exciting for the eager fans. Unfortunately, there was no mention of "No Man's Sky" release date in Murray's interview.

The most probable reason behind the delay is Sony's VR compatibility for "No Man's Sky," as mentioned in our report earlier this month. However, there's still no confirmation on this particular detail so fans are advised to take it with a pinch of salt for now.
