'No Man's Sky' release date news: game goes gold- will be out August 9

It is without a doubt that Hello Games' forthcoming title, "No Man's Sky," is this year's much-awaited game. The game developer has been working on it for quite some time now, to the extent that some fans were already frustrated and tired of waiting. There were even reports that Hello Game's managing director Sean Murray was getting numerous threats after they announced months ago that the game would be having a short delay. However, news just came in that after four years, Murray's team has finally made the game go gold. The term "going gold" is used if the title is ready to be released and mass produced.
In a tweet by Murray, it says that "No Man's Sky" finally went gold and he is proud with his team to have accomplished this milestone.
It's happened. No Man's Sky just went gold. I'm so incredibly proud of this tiny team. 4 years of emotions pic.twitter.com/YJoI6JVgxq

As mentioned earlier, the game was voted by fans as a must-have title for this year and even toppled AAA games like 2K Games' "Mafia III" and EA's "Battlefield 1" that came in third and second places respectively.
Furthermore, the game is so ambitious with the amount of planets to explore, space battles, as well as equipment and weapon upgrades that game critics find it hard to believe that an indie game developer would be able to accomplish this feat.
"No Man's Sky" was announced at the Spike Video Game Awards, also known as VGX, last 2013 and even released a teaser trailer at the event. It's a procedurally-generated game that resulted in an almost infinite gaming environment. Players will be assuming the role of a spaceman that goes from one planet to another. The character will don a specialized suit that comes with a so-called multitool that lets the character check specimens, collect items that might come in handy along the journey, and can even serve as a weapon towards hostile beings while on a planet.
Moreover, players who'll be planning to finish the game might just want to trash the idea due to what Murray mentioned some years back that the game will contain an estimate of 18 quintillion planets and finding a planet every second will still take players 500 billion years to finally discover all of them.
"No Man's Sky" will finally be released this August 9.
