The final game in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) March Madness Final Four features what seems to be a David versus Goliath matchup, as North Carolina takes on the unexpected semi-finalist Syracuse.

North Carolina dominated their way to the Final Four by thrashing Florida Gulf Coast (83-67), Providence (85-66), Indiana (101-86, Sweet 16), and Notre Dame (88-74, Elite 8). The Tar Heels are cruising through opponents this season, playing splendidly on both ends of the floor.

In the Elite 8 victory over the Fighting Irish, all five starters for North Carolina scored in double-digits and were led by senior forward Brice Johnson, who had 25 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

Fellow senior, guard Marcus Paige followed with 13 points, while sophomores Justin Jackson and Joel Berry II chipped in 11 points each, and junior forward Kennedy Meeks adding 10 points.

Because of the way they are playing, especially on offense and how their season is going, the Tar Heels are very much expected to end the Orange's Cinderella story.

However, Syracuse is not going to let that happen without a fight. The Orange were counted as being  out by many in this year's tournament, but here they are.

In the first two rounds of the tournament, Syracuse had an easier time blowing out foes like Dayton (70-51) and Middle Tennessee (75-50). But in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, it was challenged by Gonzaga and Virginia.

The Orange did enought to edge the Bulldogs in the Sweet 16, 63-60, before completing a come from behind win over the Cavaliers, 68-62.

So far, the victory against Virginia is the biggest for Syracuse this tournament and it is seeking to repeat the same upset versus the Tar Heels.

In the win over Virginia in the Elite 8, emerging for the Orange was freshman guard Malachi Richardson who recorded 23 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Richardson was aided by fellow freshman, forward Tyler Lydon, and senior forward Michael Gbinije as they both tallied 11 points. Junior forward Tyler Roberson also had a great game adding 10 points, eight rebounds, with two steals.
