Looking at the Orlando Magic, they seem like a defensive-minded squad with all the prominent front line players in the team. Unfortunately, on offense, they do not have much to offer and for them to improve, they might want to consider trading for Omri Casspi of the Sacramento Kings.

Recently, there were rumors stating that the Kings are looking to trade Casspi who is in his second stint with them. The forward has already denied this but as usual, once a player gets dragged to the rumor mill, it is hard to leave.

Perhaps the reason why Casspi is expected to be dealt is because of the decline in his production and minutes.

Last season, Casspi proved that he can be an excellent contributor specifically on offense as he averaged a career-best 11.8 points per outing. However, that dropped to only 4.3 points this season due to the reduced playing time.

In Orlando, head coach Frank Vogel can reward Casspi with enough minutes for him to regain his old form as a scorer and be an efficient offensive weapon. It is likely that the 28-year-old will have the same role as a player off the bench since rising prodigy Aaron Gordon is the main man for the Magic at small forward.

It was suggested that for the Magic to take Casspi, they will give up C.J. Watson to the Kings. The 32-year-old is a veteran backup point guard which is something Sactown needs.

Watson is rarely used by the Magic this season so his departure will have less of an impact.

For now, this is just a proposal but it is a good one for both the Magic and Kings. Sooner or later, these squads will find it ideal to accomplish an exchange as they struggle to find early success in their respective campaigns.
