PlayStation NEO release date: console's confidential documents and developers guidelines leaked

(PlayStation)Inset is the PlayStation 4. PlayStation NEO's specifications and other vital information were recently leaked and is now the current topic among players and fans.

Even though the upcoming PlayStation NEO was absent at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, the new console from Sony is indeed a go. In fact, the console is now the hot topic of PlayStation fanatics due to numerous leaked documents and developers guidelines that have been going around the web just recently.

The first page of the leaked document describes what PlayStation NEO is all about. It states that it's like a premium version of the current PlayStation 4 console and further explains that the yet-to-be-revealed console will coexist together with the standard PlayStation 4. Moreover, the document also stated that both of the consoles' application package, online community, and the like will be all the same. Another good thing that the document pointed out is that all upcoming games that will be coming out this October onwards will be playable on both consoles.

Furthermore, the document describes what makes the upcoming PlayStation NEO a standout among other current consoles, including the PlayStation 4. It says that the console will have 4K capabilities for ultra high definition TV (UHDTV) users, including a higher and more stable frame rate, better graphics and other similar features.

In addition, it also discussed PlayStation NEO's specifications in comparison with the current console. Both consoles have eight cores, but the one lodged into the new PlayStation NEO is 1.3 times quicker at 2.1 GHz. It also boasts a tweaked version of the Advanced Micro Device's (AMD) Graphics Core Next (GCN) Control Units (CUs) that has a total of 36 CUs. The next generation console and PlayStation 4 use the same amount of Double Data Rate Type Five (GDDR5) random access memory which is 8 GB, but the one inside the NEO has more bandwidth at 218 GB per second as compared to PlayStation 4's 176 GB per second.

This information is just a fraction of what is being leaked across the web and it seems like the upcoming console is something to look forward to.
