'Red Dead Redemption 2' rumors: Screenshot from sequel leaked? Rockstar to announce 'RDR2' at E3 2016

(Facebook / Red Dead Redemption)"Red Dead Redemption 2" rumored to be launched at E3 2016.

"Red Dead Redemption" has been in the rumor mill for more than a year without any of the speculations being confirmed by developer Rockstar Games. Still, fans are not yet giving up hope that the developer will give more updates, especially with the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) just around the corner.

Rockstar has remained tight-lipped about everything that's associated with "Red Dead Redemption 2." However, rumors are rife that the developer will finally announce details about the game at the press conference.

According to Express, it's highly possible that the game will be unveiled at the event based on the recent leaked photo found on Reddit. The photo was posted on the forum and it is believed to be a screenshot from the game sequel, suggesting that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in development.

One forum member commented that the photo was found on the profile of an artist who might have messed up the privacy settings of his photos. No one can be certain what the photo means, but there are speculations that it may be from the sequel or a remastered version of "Red Dead Redemption."

Nevertheless, forum members are now talking about their excitement for E3 as they are expecting something big from Rockstar.

On the other hand, Christian Times reported that some of the fans are starting to lose their interest in the next game installment as Rockstar continues to be silent about any updates. Everything that's been reported about "Red Dead Redemption 2" is based on speculations.

A photo showing a map was previously leaked in April and it was believed that the map was for the sequel. It gained mixed reactions from fans of the game. And despite Tech Radar's claim that it is legitimate, it still belongs to the rumor category since Rockstar has not confirmed it.

Fans will just have to hang on until E3 next week to find out more updates about the sequel.
