Redmi Note 3 vs LeTV Le Max Pro: Le Max Pro offers better specs

With metal bodied smartphones arriving in the market at regular intervals with super cheap price tags, it is likely that market-leading brands are going to find more competitors. Among the recent premium metal bodied smartphones that were released were the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the LeTV Le Max Pro. This how these two devices fare in a comparison.
Design
When it comes to design, both these smartphones are remarkably similar. The Note 3 comes with a metal body that has been crafted from aluminum and so, it is very sturdy and oozes a premium look. There is also a fingerprint scanner positioned at the back panel of the device and it comes in three colors: silver, gray and gold.
As for the Le Max Pro, it is the bigger of the two smartphones but its fingerprint scanner is also positioned at the rear. When it comes to build quality, the Le Max Pro has a metal body and rounded edges. And in terms of colors, it has only one option: silver.
Display
The display on the Le Max Pro measures 6.33 inches and it has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. As for the Note 3, it has a smaller 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch.
Specs
Here, the Le Max Pro overpowers the competition as it has the Snapdragon 820 chipset, which is coupled with a CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 530 GPU. As for the Redmi Note 3, it has a Mediatek Helio X10 chipset and it is coupled with an octa-core CPU and a PowerVR G6200 GPU.
Memory
There is no memory slot on the Le Max Pro and the same is true for the Redmi Note 3, so external storage cannot be tacked onto both. As for RAM, there is 4 GB onboard the Le Max Pro while the Redmi Note 3 either comes with 16 GB onboard storage and 2 GB RAM or 32 GB onboard storage with 3 GB RAM.
Price
Here, the advantage lies with the Redmi Note 3 as it has a starting price of $140 while the LeTV Le Max Pro has a price tag of a $535. Both these devices come unlocked.
