Even as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. globally rolls out its new flagships, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy 6 Edge, rumors about the company's upcoming Galaxy Note 5 continue to fly thick and fast, with a new report now revealing that the phablet-sized device is codenamed as "Project Noble" internally.

Based on earlier rumors, the Galaxy Note 5 is expected to sport a 5.9 inch 4K Super AMOLED UHD display with 2160 x 3840 pixel resolution protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor or Exynos 7420 SoC processor along with 4GB RAM. Other rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will use a new processor called the high-density EPOP memory, which combines 3 GB LPDDR3 DRAM, 32 GB eMMC (embedded multi-media card) and a controller. The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to pack 32/64 internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card, and feature an 18MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 7MP front camera. Since the high-powered display in the Galaxy Note 5 will consume most of the power in its battery, the phablet is more likely to be powered by a bigger and powerful 4000 mAH battery, which can provide as much as 20 percent more power. Other rumored features in the Galaxy Note 5 are retina scanner, fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, scratch and dust resistant, water resistant, and heart rate monitor.

Now, based on listings discovered in an IMEI database for a product that appears to be the new Galaxy Note, the latest reports claim that the Galaxy Note 5 is known internally as Project Noble. The handset with the model number SM-N920F spotted in the IMEI database is believed to be the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 meant for Europe, as the European version of the current Galaxy Note 4 has the model number SM-N910F. The other model numbers of the Galaxy Note 5 that have been spotted are SM-N920S and SM-N920K for Korea, SM-N920A for AT&T, and SM-N920 for Verizon Wireless.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Note 5 in September, as its predecessor, the successful Galaxy Note 4 released in 2014, will have completed a circle of one year in the market by then. Samsung has not revealed any pricing details about the Galaxy Note 5, though the device is rumored to cost around $900.
