Samsung Galaxy Tab E, Galaxy Tab S2 could be out from the Korean tech giant this year

This year is shaping up to be quite an exciting one for Samsung fans and users, as it is highly likely that their long wait for the newest Samsung tablets might finally be over. If the recently leaked specifications of the tablets are any indication, then the two new devices could become available sooner than expected.

A report by Tech Times has claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab E was spotted in a catalog by a Taiwanese mobile provider. With Samsung trademarking the Galaxy Tab E earlier this year and the catalog leak also surfacing, the company could be making an informal announcement about the device coming soon.

The catalog lists most of the specifications of the device, according to which, the Samsung Galaxy Tab E features a 9.7 inch-display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, a 1.3 GHZ processor, and a 5-megapixel rear camera. The tablet, labeled as SM-T560, is available in two variants – Wifi only and Wifi and Cellular. According to the leak, the new tab will go for $690, making it one of the more affordable gadgets in Samsung's tablet line up.

But the good news for Samsung fans doesn't end there. A French Website, Nowherelse, has confirmed that the Korean tech giant will soon release the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. In an article published last week, images of the upcoming device were released. The tablet is expected to feature an 8-inch screen with 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution, and will be powered by a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, paired with 3 GB ram, 8MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front camera. Like the Galaxy tab E, the two versions are rumored to be made available in two variants – Wifi Only and Wifi and Cellular.

Samsung has not yet confirmed the release dates of the Galaxy Tab E and Galaxy Tab S2, though rumors indicate that the tablets could be unveiled by the end of this year.
