A console and video game match made in heaven, the Sony PS4 Glacier White has been bundled with Bungie's newest sci-fi shooter game 'Destiny,' and will hit shelves by September 9th of this year.

The bundle also comes with a DualShock 4 controller as well as an entire month's worth of subscription to the PlayStation Network. The complete bundle retails at $449.99 or close to $450.

The product pairing has been interpreted as Sony's attempt to improve sales for the new Playstation 4 console as an Bungie's attempts to make playing the Destiny on a PS4 seem more comfortable.

Bungie is set to launch Destiny on the 9th of September, as well, and by releasing both, as a bundle, on the same date, could bolster sales both for Destiny and the PS4 Glacier White.

Gamespot also reports that the new console will come with a matching white PS4 controller which is very rare to find. The publication has also announced that the Glacier White PS4 would come to the US, Canada, and select areas in Europe in its bundled form.

According to an interview with Sony President Shuhei Yoshida, the device will also be introduced to Europe at a later time:

"In Europe, we're going to launch the bundle with 'Destiny' on September 9th, but after that, later this year, we're going to release the white standalone PS4 as well in Europe," he adds.

The stand-alone white PS4 retails at less than the cost of the bundle; however, it does not arrive in Europe until late next year.
