There are very few devices that can take on the Nexus 6, especially when it comes to size, but the new Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, with its 4K display, is one device that has the features and specs to challenge the Google device.

Design

Sony has made sure that the Xperia Z5 Premium looks and feels like a high end device. It comes with metal on its frame and glass on its back panel. On its corners is a nylon padding for protection. It has a fingerprint sensor incorporated into its power button located on the side. It also comes with IP68 certification, making it waterproof and dustproof. It can be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes.

As for the Nexus 6, which was manufactured by Google for Motorola, like the Sony device, it has metal frame but its front is made of plastic and so is its back panel, which has a curve along with the Motorola emblem. However, unlike the Xperia Z5, it does not have a fingerprint sensor.

Comparing their available colors, the Nexus 6 has two options, white and blue, while the Xperia Z5 Premium comes in black, chrome and gold.
