"Final Fantasy 15" has emerged as one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the year, and Square Enix is banking on that translating to a considerable amount of sales.

Square Enix recently posted their projected revenue and income for the fiscal year running all the way through to March 31 of next year.

Dual Shockers was able to share an image containing some of those projections and it looks as though the publisher is indeed expecting big things from their upcoming RPG offering.

Square Enix is forecasting a revenue increase that ranges from 16.8 to around 26.1 percent. The publisher is also predicting significant increases in income over the next few months, with their operating income going up by no worse than 3.8 percent, while their ordinary income is being projected to increase by as much as 30.3 percent provided that things go really well.

It's hard to tell exactly what things going well really looks like for "Final Fantasy 15," though considering all the excitement that has surrounded the game throughout the early part of the year, it's easy to see why Square Enix expects it to be a hit.

The game made headlines earlier this year after it was finally given an official release date, and it may be primed to grab even more attention when it shows up at E3 next month.

Fans can also expect the upcoming RPG to continually make news leading up to its official release in September, especially with a potential DLC announcement coming later this year.

In an interview with JeuxVideo that was also reported on by Dual Shockers, game director Hajime Tabata revealed that an announcement regarding the game's DLC could be made this summer, so that may be another thing for fans to eagerly anticipate.

Depending on what kind of DLC is announced for the game, perhaps those additions can also help boost Square Enix's income and revenue streams.

"Final Fantasy 15" is set to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on Sept. 30.
