'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' news: First TV clip reveals more footage; hints at Rey's Skywalker or Solo lineage

JJ Abrams did promise TV spots for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The first of those has just dropped and fans of the epic space opera will love to know that new footage made their way into the clip.
The new (and hopefully not the last) TV spot for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" runs for thirty seconds and is narrated fully by what sounds like Maz Kanata (Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o). The voice says, "I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes."
The force is calling to you...

Since the narration spans the whole clip, it is not clear who Maz Katana was speaking to. But it is obvious that the character seems to be linking whoever is listening to her to a character from the old trilogies. But it is very interesting to see the video cut to Finn (John Boyega) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) during the lines "I see your eyes" and "I know your eyes."
Another interesting thing is the seeming link between Rey and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in the first few seconds of the clip. This leads some to speculate the whole narration actually meant the Skywalker family. Previous rumours point to Rey's lineage as either a Skywalker or a Solo (or maybe both, if one considers the romantic interest between Princess Leia and Han Solo).
But it's not all about the connection between the old and new. There are also some subtle and exciting scenes, with a very brief glimpse of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) running amidst some open fires. It's also quite fun to see more First Order versus Resistance scenes and also more aerial combats.
The TV spot was first dropped by the official Twitter account a few days ago. As of press time, that tweet had been retweeted more than 15 thousand times and liked more than 17 thousand times. Fan response, as expected, are all about excitement.
Find out who Maz Katana was speaking to and what Rey's lineage really is when "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" debuts this Dec. 18.
