Despite being released last year, "Super Smash Bros. 4" continues to be one of Nintendo's top selling games. The game has been positively reviewed by game critics and has sold more than 11 million copies.

Nintendo has kept its fighting game fresh and fun to play through the frequent release of downloadable content. Just last Sept. 30, Nintendo released the fourth wave of DLC updates.

In the latest DLC update, Nintendo released a Pirate Ship stage for the Wii U console. The ship is heavily inspired by "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Walker" and is available for purchase for $2. A Super Mario Maker stage was made available for $2.50. Both levels were also available for purchase as a $3.50 bundle.

Several new Mii Fighter costumes were also added, including costumes based on the Monster Hunter, Star Fox and Kid Icarus game franchises. The costumes are sold for 75 cents a piece or as a $1.15 bundle. Other paid add-ons including additional stages and characters were also made available.

Now, it is being speculated that another DLC update will be making its way in the next few weeks.

The new DLC update is rumored to include the results of the Fighter Ballot, which ended last Oct. 3. Nintendo has yet to announce the victors of the ballot.

According to several sources, Shovel Knight, the protagonist of Yacht Club Game's 2D video game, will be one of the newest characters joining the "Super Smash Bros." roster. Shovel Knight was also rumored to have taken a large percentage of the Fighter Ballot votes.

Other characters rumored to join the roster are Dixie Kong and King R. Cool from "Donkey Kong," Isaac from "Golden Sun," Inkling from "Splatoon" and Ridley from "Metroid."

Nintendo may be announcing the results of the Fighter Ballot soon. Stay tuned for the official announcement from Nintendo.

"Super Smash Bros. 4" is available for the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U console.
