Although there have been a lot of talks about Microsoft releasing the Surface Phone, the latest in the rumor mill claims that the alleged Microsoft device may not be in existence yet as the company is not yet ready to release the Surface Phone in the nearest future. 

There is no denying that the Surface Phone is one of the most-talked-about products despite the absence of any confirmation from Microsoft on its existence. In fact, Microsoft had been alleged to release the product in several occasions already, which, obviously, turned out to be a false alarm.

While there were rumors earlier this month claiming that Microsoft would finally unveil the Surface Phone in the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) happening in Barcelona, Spain from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2, 2017, the latest reports claim that the alleged Microsoft handset meant to replace the Lumia line may not be in existence after all.

Sources opine that Microsoft may need to polish the Surface Phone before releasing it to the market. Hence, fans cannot expect the company to release it anytime soon. As it is also expected that the Surface Phone will be an innovative product that will not be patterned after the current smartphones, it is also suspected that Microsoft may feel that it's the right time to launch the device in the market. After all, with the Lumia Windows Phone Microsoft acquired from Nokia failing to get the nod of the consumers, it is but understandable for Microsoft to release its alleged Surface Phone at the perfect time.

As of this writing, Microsoft has yet to release an official statement regarding the Surface Phone. However, despite the lack of any official word from the company, it is heavily speculated that the device is already in Microsoft's pipeline. After all, it was no less than Microsoft's director for engineering Laura Butler who hinted the existence of the device when she said on her tweet a few months ago that the "Surface Phone is not NOT confirmed."

As double negative means affirmative, either in grammar or math, it is heavily believed that the Surface Phone is a part of Microsoft's armory that is just waiting to be unleashed.
