Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date: Microsoft scraps launching event of Surface products next month

(Microsoft Official)Shown in the picture is Microsoft Surface Pro 4. According to rumors, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be launched next year.

After it was reported that Microsoft is hosting an event next month where it will launch its various Surface products, including the Surface Pro 5, the latest in the rumor mill is that the highly anticipated laptop and tablet hybrid will not be launched within the year but in the next instead.

It was reported earlier that Microsoft is holding an event next month where it will launch its highly anticipated Surface products, such as the Surface Book2, the rumored Surface Phone, and the Surface Book 5. However, according to the latest reports, it is likely that the event will be devoted to the launch of the all-in-one PC, and all the other products will have to wait next year for their launch.

It has been learned that the reason for the delay of the Surface Pro 5 and the other Surface products is due to the unavailability of the Intel Kaby Lake processor, which is said to be launched later this year. In the event that the said chipset is really not available yet, then, it's fully understandable why the Surface products will have to take a backseat for now and give the sole spotlight to the rumored Microsoft all-in-one PC in the company's Oct. 26 event.

However, even if the Surface Book 5 is not slated for a launch next month, it is said that it will be worth the wait as it will come with improved specs and features that will set it apart from its predecessor. Reportedly, apart from packing the Intel Kaby Lake processor, the Surface Pro 5 will come with a rechargeable stylus pen, which charges automatically when it docks on the device, 4K Ultra HD display, and 16 GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, Neurogadget alleges that Microsoft has scrapped its October event, and there will be no single Microsoft product that will be launched within the year, not even the all-in-one PC, and the reason pointed out is the late arrival of the Intel Kaby Lake processor.

Apparently, Microsoft's Surface products are some of the most-anticipated and talked-about products on the Internet. However, without any official word from Microsoft, conflicting reports will continue to the flood the Internet as to when they will arrive.
