Although it has been reported that Microsoft is not releasing any hardware this 2016, rumors claiming that the company is unveiling some its powerful devices later this month are becoming more persistent.

According to reports, Microsoft is all set to launch its Surface Pro 5 and Surface Phone, along with its all-in-one PC later this month. While it's true that Microsoft has yet to confirm these rumors, pundits believe that the release of the said Surface products is already underway.

Earlier, it was reported that Microsoft is hosting an event on Oct. 26 where it will unveil the said products. However, it was later countered by another report claiming that the event has been canceled, and Microsoft will do the event next year instead. Nonetheless, rumors claiming that the Oct. 26 event will push through continue to grow louder.

Apart from the possible launch on Oct. 26, there are also various speculations as to what the Surface Pro 5 and the alleged Surface Phone will come with. Reportedly, the Surface Pro 5 will boast of an Ultra HD 4K display, 16 GB RAM, and 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras. Charging the device and transferring data to and from it will also be faster as it is also alleged to come with USB Type-C port.

As the Surface Pro 5 is rumored to pack the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update, though, the device may not arrive earlier than 2017 despite its launch later this month.

On the other hand, the Surface Phone is suspected to be Microsoft's secret weapon waiting to be unleashed. Allegedly, the device will pack the latest CPU, a very powerful RAM, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset.

It is also said that the device will have its own biometric scanner and will come with its own Surface Pen and an ergonomic keyboard.

The device is also expected to come in three variants based on its storage capacity: the 64 GB with 4 GB RAM, the 128 GB with 6GB RAM, and the premium variant of 512 GB with an 8 GB RAM.

In the event that Microsoft is, indeed, hosting an event on Oct. 26 where it will launch the said Surface devices, along with the all-in-one PC, only then it can be confirmed if the aforementioned specs and features of the Surface Pro 5 and the Surface Phone are true or not.
