Bandai Namco's latest installment in the Tekken series 'Tekken 7' is already out in arcades all over Japan, but details of a console port have been few and far between. Still, plenty of content has been available online for the fans to ogle over while awaiting for news of the international console release. In addition to videos and comprehensive character profiles, Bandai has been quite forthcoming with regards to its new playable characters.

As reported in this article at Dual Shockers, several Tekken players have uploaded gameplay footage featuring competitive matches on YouTube. In addition to the matches, Bandai has been quite active in posting character trailers for the game's various combatants. As posted in this article at Gamespot, three character trailers in total have been released for Jin Kazama, Devil Jin, and Tekken newcomer Josie Rizal.

Josie Rizal joins four new characters who will make their Tekken debut in the latest game. All told, the new fighters are Shaheen (Saudi Arabian Military fighter), Katarina Alves (Brazilian Savate fighter), Claudio Serafino (Italian light-wielding fighter), Lucky Chloe (Freestyle Dancer), and Josie Rizal (Filipina Eskrima kickboxer). Another new addition to the series is an unplayable boss character named Devil Kazumi. While she currently serves as just the game's final boss, the game's developers are considering adding her as a playable version in the console port.

Beyond what is currently known about the game, it's unclear when Bandai will release more information about the console version. Complicating matters it the recent release of 'Mortal Kombat X'. Bandai is surely waiting for the right time for any potential announcements, and the current interest in the MKX series is certainly an imposing challenge. Still, expect more information to be released in the coming weeks as the game's freshness wanes.
