Tom Clancy's 'The Division' will see the light of day, after all, as the game developer confirms that the action-packed video game will get a 2015 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

At a Ubisoft Q&A event, 'The Division' game producer, David Polfeldt, expressed his excitement over the game's imminent release.

Although the game is still in its development stage, Polfeldt is confident that adding Massive Entertainment and the fans' input into the game's production process will help speed up The Division's release date.

"We are very happy with the dialogue we are engaging, the conversations we are having with our fans, and we plan to continue that," he says.

Polfeldt also expressed that Massive Entertainment's involvement will improve 'The Division' gameplay, and that fans may also get the chance to be part of the development team. "We're gonna make you part of what we do," Polfeldt added.

In a recent news update on the official Ubisoft website, the developers also assured fans that the game will be released by 2015:

"We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready," the post reads.

It may be recalled that an insider report released by IGN last May expressed the truth behind The Division's delay.

"The game engine works well, it's not done, but works well. The actual game development has barely started, however," the insider further revealed.

Part of the reason why Tom Clancy's 'The Division' was delayed was due to inadequate console support.

Initially, the game was designed for eighth generation consoles. It was also introduced alongside games which will make use of eigth-generation gaming systems.

Although originally introduced at E3 2013 conference, the game received further introduction at E3 2014 where a 7-minute gameplay video was presented to convention-goers.
