'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Hayley looking for a cure; Vincent to be the peacemaker

The season 3 finale of the vampire horror series "The Originals" left fans of the show surprised and looking for answers. Executive producer Michael Narducci gave fans hints on what to expect from season 4.

Narducci spoke with TVLine and revealed Hayley Marshall's (Phoebe Tonkin) plan now that the Mikaelsons have fallen ill with the werewolf venom. He said that Hayley could ask for help in curing the family and may be able to communicate with them through dreams.

He said, "There were hints in the finale of what Hayley's next move is going to be. I don't want to say too much, but I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that Hayley will look to find a way — either by using her own vampire power or by using a witch — to try to communicate with everyone in the dream world. She has a giant puzzle to figure out in order to cure everyone, and given that they're dying from a wolf bite, I think you can guess who she might turn to."

Another possible plot is that the blood of Hope Mikaelson, portrayed by the twins Blake and Charlie, could be the cure for the werewolf venom.

Another interesting development in season 4 is the role of Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood). If Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) should return to his old ways as a ruler, Narducci suggests that Vincent may step in as a peacemaker that would maintain order in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, "The Originals" season 4 will continue to have great aerial shots to compete with. Julie Plec of Entertainment Weekly featured the drone system the show's been using to film some scenes in season 3. Next season will benefit greatly if they continue to use this in shooting future episodes.

"The Originals" season 4 is set for a midseason premiere next year.
