The Sims 4 release date: Available for Pre-Load on EA Origin, details

Electronic Arts has announced that Pre-load for Sims 4 Digital Deluxe is now available on Origin.

"Pre-ordering before release will enable you to download all the necessary files for The Sims 4 at least 24 hours before the release date," according to EA News.

The report continued, "It isn't ready just yet, but when pre-load is available in your area you can begin downloading the game by clicking on The Sims 4 tile in your Origin Game Library. Once your pre-load is completed, you're ready to start playing The Sims 4 as soon as it launches,"

The pre-order costs $80.91.

"If you've pre-ordered the game on Origin, make sure your software is up to date by launching Origin and logging in. The software will check to see if you're running the latest version, and if not, it will download and install it automatically. You can check when pre-load begins in your region by hovering your mouse cursor over the game tile for The Sims 4 in your Game Library."

Once the game is pre-loaded on a user's PC, The Sims 4 will automatically unlock when it launches in the user's region.

For those residing in the United States, that will be on Sept. 2, at 12 a.m. ET, or Sept. 1 at 9 p.m. PT.

The Sims 4 will be released on Sept. 4 in Australia, Japan and Europe. New Zealand, India, South Africa and UK will get their hands on the game a day later.

EA vowed that The Sims 4 will showcase a new generation of smarter personalities defined by more emotions and feature distinct appearances.

Creation tool are also made user-friendly, and users can sample these through the free demo.

The neighborhoods are also made vibrant with enhanced visuals and color grading.

There is no confirmation yet whether The Sims 4 will be available on consoles.
