'The Sims 4' expansion: Game publisher EA releases latest expansion survey; 'The Sims 4: Pets' to come out sooner than expected

(The Sims 4 official website)Possible features of "The Sims 4: Pets" discussed in a recent survey

A new kind of survey coming from game publisher Electronic Arts has been uncovered, which asks players about their opinion on the potential expansion called "The Sims 4: Pets," according to the report from Sims Community.

The survey that EA rolled out contained many new possible features that will soon be added into the game — once it becomes official and released, of course.

Fans will get to have the chance to create their very own pet by either creating a new breed or choosing one from the list. Or if the player wants to skip this one, they can do so by choosing to adopt a pet instead.

Just any other living thing inside "The Sims 4," the players' pets will also come with different kinds of personalities like if they are intelligent, friendly, agile, or something else. This unconfirmed expansion will also have a feature where it will allow the players to play as their own pets by controlling them and ordering them to go anywhere, just like how they control their avatar.

There is also a play function that can boost the fun meter of the player's avatar when playing with their pets.

Lastly, new parts of the world, as well as skills and Pet careers, are expected to be added on this unofficial expansion.

Many have had already presumed that "Pets" for "The Sims 4" is pretty much imminent as the expansion has already been part of the franchise ever since the first game — when Pets was first released on "The Sims 1," the full expansion pack was called "The Sims: Unleashed" with pets as the main feature.

Unfortunately, game developer Maxis has yet to give specific comment regarding this issue. With that in mind, it is best for the die-hard fans to keep an open-mind for now, and wait for  further news coming from the developer and publisher about the existence of "The Sims 4: Pets."
