"The Sims 4" is undoubtedly a hit for Windows and Mac when it was released in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Pretty soon, console players can also enjoy the game as several reports indicated that "The Sims 4" is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The console ports for the game are already in the works, but developers reportedly faced some challenges when it came to its technical process, according to ChristianToday.

While there's no exact release date for when the game will arrive to consoles, some reports claim that it would be as early as this month. However, it's almost the end of March and Electronic Arts (EA) hasn't announced anything about the console version of the game just yet.

In the meantime, fans will just have to enjoy playing "The Sims 4" on PC, which constantly gets updates. The latest update from the game is the "Spring Challenge" patch. Fans have been disappointed by the absence of a new expansion pack for March, but the "Spring Challenge" patch should give them new challenges and missions to play with.

Although fans missed out on a March expansion, SimGuruDrake, manager for The Sims Community, confirmed that a new patch is underway.

When asked by gamers in the forum about any pack launching this month, the manager responded with a "no." However, rumors just keep swirling and talks have it that a Restaurant-themed expansion pack will be the next update for the game.

MobiPicker reported that this rumor about a new pack started when SimGuruNinja had a chat with a "The Sims 4" player about this game pack, using words like "serve up," "fresh info" and "hungry," which suggests something food-related.

It's not the first time that a new restaurant expansion pack has been mentioned. EA somehow contributed to the rumors when it launched a survey that had restaurant options and a market where Sims can get fresh food.

But at the moment, EA hasn't announced anything so fans will just have to tune in for more updates.
