Tim Tebow continues to make it to the news even if he is no longer playing in the National Football League (NFL). This time he was mentioned by former baseball analyst Curt Schilling, who was hoping he received an invitation to do a Republican National Convention (RNC) speech.

Schilling was interviewed on "The Dan Patrick Show" last week, and there, he aired his thoughts about not getting the chance to show support for Donald Trump by speaking at the RNC.

While on the show, Schilling also shared his opinion regarding Tebow, who was reportedly invited by Trump. The former baseball pitcher said according to Awful Announcing, "I was a little bit bummed. I heard Tim Tebow at first and thought, 'Man, that sucks. Tim Tebow's getting a snap and I'm going to sit here?'"

However Tebow, through Instagram, said the RNC invitation was only a rumor. The former Denver Broncos passer also discussed his goal of making a difference, and for now, he accomplishes that through his foundation and not something related to politics.

"I love our country and I would do anything for America. One thing that I love most is that it's one nation under God," Tebow then added. He continued by calling for people to come together and unite.

Awful Announcing also wrote in its report that perhaps one reason why Tebow did not speak at the RNC was because of his current job as an analyst for the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Network which is under ESPN.

The report mentioned that ESPN, "has been very against advocacy for candidates (although that rule is selectively enforced)." This could be a factor why Tebow did not grace the convention. None of these are confirmed but it is likely that the former football star does not want to be involved in any political party for now as he continues to focus on his charity works.
