Vivo X6 And X6 Plus: both devices feature fingerprint scanners

Smartphone manufacturer Vivo had been teasing the arrival of the X6 in a special event, for about a month now. On November 30, it went ahead and launched the device. Along with the Vivo X6 was released a bigger X6 Plus. Importantly, the two devices come with metal bodies and super AMOLED screens and it is clear that they have been positioned to take on a range of a similar devices being launched by other companies in China.
Android Authority states that the devices will draw the attention of those who prefer metal bodied smartphones, and consider these as a premium offering compared to others that have a mix of metal and glass or plastic. The metal bodies on the X6 and the X6 Plus are quite similar to the iPhone lineup. There are antenna lines on the back of the devices along with fingerprint scanners. Vivo also explained how the metal used on the two devices was created from an alloy of aluminum and magnesium and how each body was injection molded and laser engraved.
As for the bigger X6 Plus it has a 5.7 inch display with a 1080p resolution and a density of 386 pixels per inch while the smaller X6 has a 5.2 inch screen with a similar resolution and a density of 424 pixels per inch. Also different on these devices are the batteries, and the bigger screened X6 Plus has a 3000mAh version while its sibling has a 2400mAh version.
However, when it comes to hardware both these devices are equal as each has a MediaTek MT6752 chipset coupled with an octa-core CPU and Mali-T760 GPU. As for RAM each smartphone has 4 GB on board. There are also similar 13 megapixel cameras at their rear and 8 megapixel versions in front.
When it comes to internal storage, they are different as the X6 Plus has 64 GB onboard while the X6 has 32 GB. Importantly, these devices are expected to release in China on Dec. 7 where the smaller X6 is expected to cost around $406 unlocked while its bigger sibling will cost around $500 unlocked.
