Wimbledon 2014 officially opens on June 20 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.

After another spectacular Roland Garros edition that cemented Rafael Nadal's position as one of the greats, attention now shifts to the grass courts of Wimbledon.

First round for both ladies and men will commence on Monday (June 23), while second round is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday (June 25) and the third round on Friday (June 27).

Quarterfinals will take place from July 2 to 3, and Semis will be from July 4 to 5.

Witness the two best ladies in the competition battle it out for the title on Saturday (July 5), while the most anticipated Men's Finals will happen the next day, Sunday (July 6).

Other competitions slated on July 5 are: Men's Doubles Finals, Ladies' Doubles Finals, Girls' Singles Finals, Mixed Doubles Semis, Boys' and Girls' Doubles Semis, Invitation Doubles and Wheelchair Doubles.

Other competitions slated on July 6 are: Mixed Doubles Finals, Boys' Singles Finals, Boys' Doubles Finals, Girls' Doubles Finals, Invitation Doubles Finals and Wheelchair Doubles Finals.

The defending champion Andy Murray of United Kingdom is expected to give it all out once again as he attempts to steal the show in back-to-back majors on the grass courts while the home crowd cheers for him.

Murray will enter the competition as 3rd seed behind Rafael Nadal of Spain and Novak Djokovic of Serbia in first and second position respectively.

Because of the draw, Murray will not be seeing Nadal, Djokovic or Federer in the semis, but will likely meet Australian Open champion Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland.

Serena Williams, Li Na, Simona Halep and Maria Sharapova are early favorites to win the Wimbledon title in the woman's division, with defending champion Marion Bartoli retiring a month after winning her first Wimbledon in 2013.

Among the current active roster, Williams is the winningest among the ladies with 5 Wimbledon titles under her belt, while it's Federer for men with 7 Wimbledon wins.

Wimbledon will be broadcast by ESPN and The tennis Channel in the United States. Live streaming will be available via WATCH ESPN. For those in the UK, coverage will be provided by BBC, which will also be livestreaming the event on its BBC iPlayer.
