The NXT superstars featured in the "NXT Edition" of "WWE 2K17" may not be made available to all players right from day one.

As fans may already know, the previously announced "NXT Edition" of the upcoming wrestling game includes former NXT superstars Apollo Crews and Nia Jax. The "NXT Edition" also includes one of NXT's current top performers in the form of the charismatic Shinsuke Nakamura.

All three wrestlers are included in the "NXT Edition's" NXT Enhancement Pack and they are bundled together with another bonus that provides players with additional points to use in MyCareer mode, as noted over on the game's official web site.

While the fans who will be paying $99.99 to get the "NXT Edition" of "WWE 2K17" will be able to use the aforementioned wrestlers right from day one, it looks like those who will opt not to purchase the special edition may have to wait before Apollo Crews, Nia Jax and Shinsuke Nakamura appear on their rosters.

As noted in that same post detailing the contents of the "NXT Edition," PS4 and Xbox One players who will choose not to get the "NXT Edition" can still buy the NXT Enhancement Pack that contains the three wrestlers as a separate DLC pack, though it will only be made available as an individual purchase later in the year. This potentially means that some current-gen players may have to wait longer than other fans before they can start to use Apollo Crews, Nia Jax and Shinsuke Nakamura inside the game.

For what it's worth, the developers have yet to indicate just how long PS4 and Xbox One owners may have to wait before they can purchase the NXT Enhancement Pack on its own, so there's still a chance that the wait may only be limited to a few days.

The price of the separate NXT Enhancement Pack has not been revealed just yet, so fans will have to watch out for that bit of information as well.

Both the standard and "NXT Edition" of "WWE 2K17" will be released on Oct. 11.
